We are WICAP
Since 1965, WICAP has served Western Idaho to help low-income families in the community improve their lives and the lives of others. Our programs, funded by federal grants and charitable contributions, include early childhood education, childcare, and mental health support for the entire family as well as those who educate them.

The Promise of Community Action:
Community Action changes people's lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.
Serving the broader community, we offer elderly citizen aid, emergency services, family development, health, nutritional, employment, and financial stability resources. Every WICAP program is adaptable to meet the unique needs of each individual and community, as well as the social, cultural, and economic circumstances that surround them. Through our individualized programs, we provide people and communities the opportunity to overcome obstacles and thrive.
The governing body of the Agency is the Board of Directors. The membership of the Board is selected and maintained in accordance with the Community Service Block Grant Act. One-third of the members are elected public officials; not fewer than one-third are representatives of low-income individuals and families; and the remainder of the members are officials or members of business, industry, labor, religious, law enforcement, education, or other major groups and interests in the communities served.
